God bless!

We do not draw back! We were not made to give up! We were created to be successful, prosperous, blessed and Ultimately a carbon copy of Jesus Christ Himself! It's a big expectation if you think about it, but nonetheless one that we will fulfill. Why? The reason is as long as you and I don't give up we will succeed at it. He has equipped us with all we need to satisfy this call but we have to believe it for ourselves. Many people aren't successful in this endeavor but I know that you and I will be! If you feel weak today then I encourage you to grab on harder, you were made for this! Don't let anyone tell you different, not even yourself!

Pastor Joell A. Perez

But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul. (Hebrews 10:39 AMP)

God bless!

I can't lie and tell you it's not a struggle for me at times to be nice to people I don't know. I don't do it on purpose, but at times I guess it's my way of defending and protecting myself. We are in such a day and age that holding a door or saying hello is looked at as being weird. If you do something nice you get the "what do you need" or "are you a pervert" look. With that said we (Christians) have to realize we can't behave like the world. We have to do the opposite. Is it easy? No way! Truth is no one ever said the path to Christ was easy. The reason I'm touching on this today is we have to always keep in mind that we never know who we are encountering. The verse below talks about the angelic interactions shown in scripture and how the people involved had no clue they were Angels. Can you imagine missing a message/blessing because we weren't hospitable? I think it's time to treat everyone nicely not just those who we know.

Pastor Joell A. Perez

Do not forget or neglect or refuse to extend hospitality to strangers [in the brotherhood–being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it.  (Hebrews 13:2 AMP)

Have you ever felt like you acted in haste when making a decision? That feeling of "if I would have just held on a little bit more!"? I'm sure we all have at one moment or another and it's understandable but do we try to apply the same pressure on God? Do we forget how great He has been and therefore doubt in our current struggles? Have we forgotten the Lion and the Bear? (like King David) I encourage you as I do myself today to look through your victory journal and realize if He helped you to victory before He won't let you go to defeat today! He is always on time!!

Pastor Joell A. Perez

But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold. (Psalm 106:13 NIV)

God bless!

He is! He is! Faithful and on point! He hasn't forgotten what we need, He is not delayed! He is right on TIME!! He hasn't failed you before and He won't start now!

Believe it!

Pastor Joell A. Perez

So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. (Hebrews 10:23 AMP)

There is no greater proof of ownership than a title deed. It convinces the Law and any civilian that you own that "something". In Christianity our title deed is our faith. Want to know why so many Christians suffer and lack? They have no faith! No title deed that they own their healing, own their homes, own that job position, own their happiness. If you can’t prove it to man they will never acknowledge it, the same applies to the enemy. Where is your title deed? Do you carry it with you? Are you afraid to take it out when challenged (this can preach!)? It's time people of God to recognize your ownership and stop accepting captivity!!

Pastor Joell A. Perez

NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. (Hebrews 11:1 AMP)

God bless!

Life seems to be moving so quickly these days, it almost seems at times that we are so busy preparing for tomorrow that we simply don't live today. Am I the only one? Why am I talking about this today? The reason is, we have to come to a point of recognition and make a change! What value can we put on life if we have the nicest cars, houses, most money, but don't take the time to enjoy them and enjoy life? There are certain things that you simply can't put a price on and one of those things are time. You can never get it back. Even the time you just spent reading this email is gone. You either make the best of your time or you will end up looking back and saying: "what was it all for?". Don't work for the sake of working and forget what you are working for...

Pastor Joell A. Perez

What profit does man have left from all his toil at which he toils under the sun? [Is life worth living?] (Ecclesiastes 1:3 AMP)

God bless,

If someone gave you a beautiful, irreplaceable, one of a kind gift, would you put it away in your closet and wait until right when you are about to die to thank him or her? Would you just take the gift and not acknowledge it at all? Of course not! We all have some kind of sense to show our appreciation and thank that person immediately when the gift is received!

The same way that we show our gratitude to those around us for their kindness, should also be the way we show our loving kindness to God! I would even dare to say that our gratitude and acts of appreciation should be much greater, for what He gives is everlasting and irrevocable and eternal. So when I meditate on this, I realize that if I do it for those who come and go and for things that will perish, then how much greater should my loving kindness and praise be for Him who is eternal and everlasting and loving towards me!!!

My lips shall praise you now!!! Pastor Elizabeth Z. Perez

Psalms 63:3-4 "Because thy loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name".

God bless!

Would you ever give a gift to your child if they received all "F's" on their report card? Would you go to a restaurant and pay full price if there was a roach in your food? Would you pay rent for an apartment that the owner didn't let you live in? I'm sure our answer to all these questions are "No"! Human common sense is really what motivates this reaction. How is it that God does the exact opposite? If you read the verse below you will understand what I mean. He doesn't repay us based on what we do, but He actually blesses us based on what we could* do. What do I mean? We can do the right thing, we can make the right choice but it's up to us to take that route. It doesn't mean we always will make the right choice but He gives us every tool to do it. So why don't we? Good question... I guess it's a mixture of us taking advantage of His infinite love and us just not having complete self-control. So what do we do? We need to appreciate His everlasting, unconditional love and accept His word (and not ours!). But if we don't we have assurances that as long as our heart is repented He will joyfully take us back!

Pastor Joell A. Perez

"he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities." (Psalm 103:6, 10 NIV)

God bless!

Have you ever felt like people take advantage of you and they never seem to "get" theirs? Like they get away with treating you like trash all the time? I know I have and to be honest for a long time I held anger deep inside, but I come today to tell you and myself: to let it go! We will never make something right by doing something wrong. We can't expect respect if we retaliate, as all we are doing is acting like a child. As a Christian we have many promises from God, one of which is shown in the verse below. Though we may not always understand it or even see it with our eyes, God is always fulfilling His word. There hasn't been one person that has gotten away with treating you wrong, it's just a matter of time. Today be encouraged to let go of the anger that you may hold as it's not hurting anyone else but you.

Time to move on!

The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. (Psalm 103:6 NIV)

God Bless!

We are very close to the end of days (nice way to start the week!). Am I saying I know the exact time or date? No, as you know the Bible says none will know the exact time or date. I found it necessary though to remind us all that we must live each day as if it was the last. The end of times will not send us an email reminder or a text message, it's simply going to come as the verse says below “like a thief”. No thief will announce himself but rather when they come they have scoped you out, know your routine and are trying to get to your valuables. Is God trying to get your valuables? No, quite the opposite, He is trying to make your valuables show off so when the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10) we will all be equipped to push forward past his traps and walk into victory. The day is near and all we know as being important in this world will wither away. The only things that  will remain are those we have received from God. Our strength, our passion, our dedication, our faith and our love. In this day let's press on to acquire more from Him and less from the world. Why store things that have no true value?

Pastor Joell A. Perez

2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will vanish (pass away) with a thunderous crash, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.”
