God bless!
I can't lie and tell you it's not a struggle for me at times to be nice to people I don't know. I don't do it on purpose, but at times I guess it's my way of defending and protecting myself. We are in such a day and age that holding a door or saying hello is looked at as being weird. If you do something nice you get the "what do you need" or "are you a pervert" look. With that said we (Christians) have to realize we can't behave like the world. We have to do the opposite. Is it easy? No way! Truth is no one ever said the path to Christ was easy. The reason I'm touching on this today is we have to always keep in mind that we never know who we are encountering. The verse below talks about the angelic interactions shown in scripture and how the people involved had no clue they were Angels. Can you imagine missing a message/blessing because we weren't hospitable? I think it's time to treat everyone nicely not just those who we know.
Pastor Joell A. Perez
Do not forget or neglect or refuse to extend hospitality to strangers [in the brotherhood–being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:2 AMP)
