In all my years of marriage there is one lesson that has continuously arisen and that is: Communication is key. This lesson is 100% right, the reason this is the case is because communication births unity and unity births prosperity. You can’t have any of the three if you are missing one, though you may think you do the trueness of them all, unity is found in their ability to endure all storms. Have you gone through a storm and come out untouched? If so then you are on the right path but, if you still see yourself suffering through a storm then one of the three is failing. Time to reflect!

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

Durante todos mis años de casado hay algo que aun sigo aprendiendo y siempre se puede y se debe aplicar en toda relacion y esto es, recordar que la comunicación es clave. Esta enseñanza es 100% cierta en toda relación. También debemos recordar que la buena comunicación produce unidad y la unidad produce prosperidad. No puedes tener ninguna de las tres cosas si te falta la otra (comunicación, unidad, prosperidad), puede ser que creas que si se puede tener una sin la otra pero la prueba de esto esta en la manera que superamos las tormentas. ¿Haz pasado por alguna tormenta y por difícil que haya sido haz salido de ella sin ningún rasguño? Si tu respuesta es sí, entonces estas en el camino correcto, pero si aún te encuentras en una tormenta y estas sufriendo en ella, entonces te falta una de las tres cosas mencionadas. ¡Tiempo de reflexionar!

What a wonderful verse we review today. A verse that specifically shows how the application and study of the Word of God brings forth a Devine favor from Heaven. It’s not a merited favor from our part but actually a complete gift from God. The key in all of this is having His hand upon you, do we? Are we walking under His grace or our own strength? Want to know why we have moments of struggle and obstacle? We moved out from under His hand. Let’s realign today, it’s never too late to get right.

El versículo de hoy es maravilloso. En este versículo podemos ver muy claramente, como el estudiar y aplicar la Palabra de Dios en nuestra vida nos permite disfrutar de un favor divino que viene del cielo. Este favor que Dios nos regala, es exactamente eso, un regalo; no lo hemos ganado y mucho menos lo merecemos. La clave de todo esto es que la mano de Dios este sobre nosotros (que estemos viviendo bajo su cobertura). ¿Estaremos viviendo bajo su cobertura? ¿Estaremos caminando bajo su gracia o por nuestras propias fuerzas? ¿Quieren saber porque pasamos por momentos difíciles y por obstáculos? Porque nos movimos y nos alejamos de su cobertura. Regresemos a donde la mano de Dios nos protege y nos guía…nunca es demasiado tarde para intentarlo de nuevo.

The verse we are reviewing today is one that has a long story behind it. To break it down for you I will sum it up like this: the old temple (Solomon's) was down and the new temple was being built up. The younger people were excited and happy while the past generation was sad and somewhat disinflated. Why am I sharing this today? Your new state will not always be embraced or appreciated by those around you. What should you do? Simply Worship and Praise your way through the weeping of the past. Don’t look back and don’t try to hold on, it’s your time to shine!

El versículo que analizáremos el día de hoy, tiene una larga historia. Para que me entiendan mejor, les explico de esta manera: el templo antiguo (el de los tiempos del rey Salomón) ya no existía y el nuevo templo estaba siendo construido. La gente joven que trabaja en la construcción de este nuevo templo estaba feliz y de buen animo mientras que las personas de mayor edad (la generación anterior), estaban tristes y desalentados. ¿Por qué les comparto esto hoy? Nuestro nuevo estado de ánimo no siempre será apoyado o celebrado por aquellos que nos rodean. ¿Qué debemos hacer cuando esto sucede? Simplemente tenemos que mantenernos conectados al Señor por medio de la alabanza y adoración mientras superamos el llanto del pasado. No mires hacia atrás, ni tampoco trates de sostener algo del pasado… ¡ha llegado el tiempo de que brilles!

On this day I dare you to trust Him. I dare you to believe that He is faithful enough to know your need and to act on your demand. Why do I dare you? Let me take you back some years, I remember as a kid I would only do the adventurous crazy things when someone dared me, so I figure I’m not the only one and if we did it when we were kids maybe it would work as adults as well. So consider yourself dared in this day! Will you trust Him?

Hay muchas personas a las que les encantaría estar en tu situación actual. Yo se que tal vez sea difícil de creerlo pero la realidad es que somos muy bendecidos, aún con las circunstancias que cada uno enfrentamos, nuestros problemas comparados a los de los demás son muy pequeñitos. La moraleja de este mensaje es muy simple: APRECIA LO QUE TIENES, aunque tal vez lo que tengas en el momento no te parezca la gran cosa. ¿Deseas algo mejor? Entonces aprende a apreciar las cosas pequeñas que tienes hoy…

     We are so prone to look back as humans and reconsider things. I’m sure many of us have turned back during many times in our life but, there comes a time where we simply have to settle down. We have to dig our heels in the ground and stabilize our situations. Why? It’s pretty clear actually, the longer we move to and fro the harder our walk and lives in general will get. Not only will things get harder but, we will also begin to notice those around us and their growth and the little “Hater” in all of us will grow. Are you or I currently in “Hater” stage? This is something that we really have to take time to analyze and eliminate if it is the case. Remember “haters don’t get into heaven”

Como humanos tenemos la tendencia ha estar recordando el pasado y reconsiderar ciertas cosas. Estoy seguro que muchos de nosotros en varias ocasiones hemos retrocedido en ciertas circunstancias pero todos llegamos a un punto de nuestra vida donde tenemos que aprender a dejar de mirar hacia atrás y seguir adelante. Tenemos que ponernos firmes y estabilizarnos en nuestra situación actual. ¿Por qué? En realidad es algo muy claro, entre más estemos en un vaivén en nuestra vida, menos estabilidad y seguridad tendremos. No solamente sentiremos que muchas situaciones se complicaran más, sino que también comenzamos a sentir envidia del crecimiento y la prosperidad de los demás. ¿Será que de pronto estas pasando por uno de esos momentos donde sientes envidia de otro? Debemos examinarnos profundamente y saber identificar si esto esta sucediendo en nuestra vida, y si nos damos cuenta que sí, tenemos que eliminar ese sentimiento. Recuerda que los envidiosos no entrarán al cielo.

            ¿Alguna vez te haz sentido frustrado a causa de una promesa que Dios te ha dado? Bueno, la realidad es que muchos de nosotros nos encontramos en situaciones temerosas precisamente causadas por nuestra frustración, pero en el día de hoy Dios nos quiere recordar que: ¡El no se ha olvidado de nosotros! Todo lo que El nos ha prometido lo cumplirá y entre más le creamos más fácil será la espera. ¿No me creen? Créanle a El.

One of the most impacting parts of life is our right to make choices for ourselves. We are faced with having to choose things all day and every day. We take for granted many times the smaller decisions we make in life but, it’s surprising to see how many small decisions in our life create a ripple effect on the larger. So why am I talking about this today? I think many of us make decisions to quickly and in haste and we in turn remove ourselves from equations we initially involved ourselves in and to be honest it makes our Word lose all value. As quickly as we say "I’m in" we also say "I’m out". Have you ever heard that saying "you are what you eat" ? Well I’ll go as far as saying "you are what you choose". If you choose to give up then you are a quitter and if you choose to keep to your word then you are what you said you would be. Makes sense?

Uno de los derechos más impactantes que tenemos en esta vida es el derecho a tomar nuestras propias decisiones. Todos los días y a todo tiempo nos vemos enfrentados a tomar decisiones. Muchas veces no le damos la importancia necesaria a las decisiones “pequeñas o simples” pero sorprendentemente, muchas veces son estas mismas las que afectan las áreas más importantes de nuestra vida teniendo en muchas ocasiones consecuencias serias. ¿Por qué les hablo de este tema hoy? Muchos de nosotros tomamos decisiones muy aprisa y sin pensar bien lo que estamos decidiendo y como resultado, muchas veces no cumplimos los compromisos que habíamos tomado en un principio y esto lo que causa es, una devaluación de nuestra palabra. Igual de rápido que decimos “sí, yo lo hago”, también decimos “ya no lo quiero hacer”. ¿Alguna vez haz escuchado el dicho que dice: “Tú eres lo que comes”? Yo me atrevo a decir que somos “lo que escogemos”. Si escoges rendirte entonces eres un derrotado pero si en cambio escoges seguir adelante y cumplir tu palabra, entonces eres lo que dijiste que ibas a ser. ¿Tiene sentido?

I come with a simple message today and it is: don't give up on yourself! We all make mistakes, we have all walked down the wrong path many times. Our maturity is shown in our ability to get up and get back on track when we do. To think that we have gone too far in sin is silly and a complete denial of the power in the blood of Jesus. His blood can and has surpassed all sin. Not one is above His reach nor is their one He struggles with. Whatever our issue is, He can handle it but, it takes us to give it over to Him for the process to begin. Today we must remember that as long as we have breath we still have a chance to get right. What’s stopping us?

Hoy vengo con un mensaje muy sencillo para todos: ¡no se rindan! Todos cometemos errores, todos en ocasiones hemos escogido el camino equivocado. Nuestra madurez se demuestra en nuestra habilidad de pararnos y seguir adelante cuando hemos caído. El pensar que hemos pecado demasiado como para seguir adelante es algo necio; es igual que decir que la sangre de Jesucristo no tiene poder o no es lo suficientemente poderosa. ¡Su sangre sí puede y es más, ha sobrepasado todo pecado! No hay ningún pecado que el no pueda perdonar o algo que a El le cueste trabajo olvidar. Cualquiera que sea nuestro problema, El lo puedo solucionar pero es nuestro trabajo poner todo en sus manos para que el proceso pueda comenzar. En el día de hoy recordemos que mientras Dios nos permita tener vida, tenemos la oportunidad de arreglar lo que este mal. ¿Qué nos esta deteniendo?

I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it!!! It’s not only because its Friday and I’m two days away from my encounter with my brethren and My Lord but also because the changes vie been waiting for are happening and its awesome to see it taking place right before my own eyes! Only God!!! Only God can do the things that He does and the way that He does them. I thank Him so much for allowing me to be His child. I know inside you are probably thinking “what is this guy ranting and raving about?” I guess you will just have to wait and see on Sunday! God has officially opened up the windows of heaven and the overflow is in full discharge. Want to be excited also? You can’t tell me being unhappy and lonely is fun, I’ve been there and I’m never going back! If you do want to be excited again then meet me Sunday at church and you will see what all the hype is about.

Do you want good in your life? I know it may sound like a dumb question, who doesn't want good in their life. The truth is we all want it but many times our approach to it is completely wrong. We aim for the wrong goals, we dwell on the wrong issues and ultimately we wonder why we are not as blessed as we wish we were. How do we get things right? We have to begin to eliminate sin, please know in no way am I saying this as if I don't sin! I do, I'm not proud of it but I'm not going to lie about it either. The key in stopping sin is acknowledging it. Many of us sin because we convince ourselves we are not. Evil begins when we know we are wrong and insist on continuing anyway. It’s never too late to start to confront the truth. Can you handle the truth?

Quieres de lo bueno de la vida? Yo se que quizás suene como una pregunta absurda, por que quien no quiere de lo bueno de la vida? La realidad es que queremos lo bueno pero muchas veces lo tratamos de obtener de la manera equivocada. Queremos adquirir las metas erróneas y nos enfocamos en cosas erróneas y a la final de todo no somos bendecidos al nivel que queremos y después preguntamos por qué? De la manera que podemos encomendarnos correctamente es dejando de pecar y créame que no lo digo como si ya lo he logrado ciento por ciento! Todavía me falta corregir mucho y no lo digo orgullosamente, pero si les soy siendo honesto. El primer paso en corregir el pecado que aun hay en nosotros es reconocerlo. Muchos andan pecando porque se han convencido que no están pecando o que lo que hacen no está mal. El mal comienza desde el momento que reconocemos que estamos haciendo algo maldadoso y decidimos hacerlo de todos modos. Nunca es tarde empezar hacer lo bueno y enfrentar la realidad. La pregunta es, será que podemos enfrentar la realidad?

Has God ever directly told you to do something? Have you completely done it? Why do I ask these questions? It’s simple: the verse below was one of the major turning points in the reign of King Saul, at this juncture God was clear and direct with what He wanted to happen to the Amalekites but for one reason or another King Saul decided to spare the King and the "good" from his land. This decision made King Saul lose his kingdom! Doing half of what God instructs is precisely, not doing His will. There is no blessing in being halfway in God! Today’s moral is: it’s time to smite all that doesn't belong to God in our lives (meaning areas and conditions in our lives, not people :)). No mercy!

Alguna vez has recibido una respuesta directa de Dios para hacer algo? Le has obedecido completamente? Porque hago estas preguntas? Es simple: el verso de hoy habla acerca de uno de los momentos más críticos en el reino de Saúl. Aquí Dios le fue muy claro a Saúl con respecto a lo que tenía que hacer con Amalec y todo su pueblo y todas las grosuras que tenían, pero El Rey Saúl decidió no en ves capturar al Rey Amalec y guardar las “grosuras” de ese pueblo. Esta decisión que tomo Saúl le causo perder su reino que hubiese podido ser establecido por siempre! Haciendo lo que Dios le pidió a medias fue no hacer la voluntad de Dios, porque en Dios nada se hace a medias porque nuestro Dios es excelente y bendice plenamente, no a medias! El mensaje de hoy es: es tiempo de derrotar plenamente todo lo que no le agrada a Dios en nuestras vidas (o sea las condiciones, no a las personas :)). No tenga misericordia del pecado!

Has caminado un largo viaje! Has permitido muchos cambios a su vida en ese trayecto! No eres la misma persona de ayer, así que no permitas que alguien te lo encare. Hay gente envidiosa en todo lugar y son muy buenos en lo que hacen, pero usted es aun mas bendecido que lo que fuiste ayer. Esas voces vendrán y se irán, pero la voz de Dios es constante y El te dice que te ama y te formo en el vientre de su madre y el ha prometido bendecirte! A qué voz le vas a creer?

In life we all seem to have a envisioned goal. We look forward to the next step in this life long journey. Unfortunately I mentioned "seem" because some of us actually live life day by day. Don't get me wrong it’s important to have short term goals but they all must lead to something bigger. The question we should each ask ourselves today is where am I headed to? Where will I be in one, five or ten years? Why ask? Long term goals are built on the success of short term goals and if our short term and long term goals don't add up we are going to be lost in this journey. Take a train for example, we have multiple stations to stop at but one final destination, what station are you in?

En la vida todos pensamos que tenemos una meta que queremos adquirir. Anhelamos tomar el próximo paso en este camino que llamamos vida. Desafortunadamente muchos "pensamos" que lo tenemos todo preparado, pero la realidad de muchos es que vivimos un día a la vez. No me mal entiendan, no hay nada malo con proyectar metas de corto tiempo, pero debemos también proyectar también para algo más grande y no quedarnos en una corta visión. La pregunta que nos debemos hacer hoy es, hacia donde estoy proyectando? Donde voy a estar en uno, cinco, o diez anos? Porque debemos de preguntarnos eso? las metas largas y grandes son construidas sobre una fundación de los logros que hemos adquirido de corto tiempo y si no se alinean ambas metas cortas y largas os vamos a perder en este viaje que llamamos vida. Así como paramos en las diferentes estaciones cuando viajamos en un tren, pero solo tenemos un solo destino final. En que estación estas tu?

As the weekend begins we all look forward so eagerly to the things to come. We consider the outings, we consider the gatherings and we simply look forward to a change of pace. Though this is a good thing during the weekend most of us find ourselves in positions of temptation that we have to learn to avoid and we have to learn how to ignore and defeat. This should be common sense to a Christian but what about all of those people that open their hearts to being the problem? What I mean by this is what about those that are the reason we trip, fall and sin? I know we are all in awe right now but don’t we all fill that role at one point or another? Today let’s make a conscious effort to avoid falling and avoid making others fall. How do we do it? We have to learn to avoid those places, people and things that seem to be the trigger to our weakness. Change of negative course will bring prosperity not remaining in the same routine…

A medida que se aproxima el fin de semana muchos anhelamos su pronto llegar. Planeamos las salidas y las reuniones y esperamos ansiosamente por el cambio que trae un fin de semana. Aunque quizás lo vemos siempre como algo bueno en los fines de semana, muchos nos encontramos en posiciones que quizás puedan llevar a una o varias tentaciones que tenemos es que más bien evitar y vencer. Esto debe de ser algo de sentido común para un cristiano, pero mira cuantas personas abren su corazón y se ponen en una posición donde más bien llegan a servir como piedra de tropiezo? Que de esas personas que nos hacen tropezar y caer en pecado? yo sé que muchos estaremos asombrados de lo que estoy hablando, pero también se que muchos hemos servido como piedra de tropiezo para una persona que ha estado débil y los hemos hecho tropezar. Tratemos lo más posible de evitar tropezar y caer en pecado y también de evitar de hacer caer a alguien que esta mas débil que usted. Como podremos lograr eso? Tenemos que evitar de frecuentar esos lugares que nos causan caer y esas cosas y personas que aun son una debilidad en nuestras vidas. El cambiar nuestro alrededor negativo para uno positivo nos traerá prosperidad, así que no te quedas en la misma rutina de siempre y cambie su alrededor...

God is never late! He is never shy of a mark and will never leave you or I hanging. He is perfect. Who am I talking to today? Have you been waiting to hear something from the Lord with regards to a situation you are dealing with? Do you think about it morning , noon and night? If you are in this situation, today I encourage you to stop! The longer you and I dwell on something the longer we delay the process. Remember God will not give us something we can’t handle or we are simply not ready for, He is too great for that. The moral today is simple: change the channel of your perception and put it on the God channel rather than your own reality channel.

! Dios nunca tarda! El nunca llega antes de tiempo y nunca nos deja esperando. Dios es perfecto. ¿A quién le estoy hablando hoy? ¿Has estado esperando una respuesta departe de Dios? ¿Lo estas pensando día y noche?! Si estas en esta situación, hoy yo le aconsejo que dejes de ocuparte tanto en aquello y descanses en Dios! Entre más nosotros pensamos en algo, mas alargamos el proceso. Recuerde, Dios no nos dará algo más de lo que podamos resistir, El es perfecto y en el no hay falla. La enseñanza de hoy es fácil: cambie el canal de su percepción y póngalo en el canal de Dios envés del canal de su vida que has estado mirando por mucho tiempo.

Isn’t it interesting that the process of gaining better fruit from a tree involves removal and pruning of such? Humanity would tell you that in order to get something better you have to add to that something but, God says to get something better He has to remove something. It’s a hard concept for many of us to embrace because we become comfortable with the things we surround ourselves with but, God wants us to continuously be on our toes because this is the only way we will genuinely grow and build correctly. The moral of the devotional today is that we can’t get comfortable if we expect to grow in a excellent fashion. If you want to prosper you must prepare yourself to work and to encounter change, if you didn’t need change you would be prospering now…

No es interesante que el proceso de buena producción en un árbol frutal incluye el remover del árbol, o sea apodarlo para que haya mejor producción. La sociedad de hoy nos dicta que para poder obtener más, tenemos que añadir algo mejor a nuestras vidas o circunstancias, pero Dios nos dice que para tener algo mejor tenemos que substraer. Es un concepto difícil de aplicar y de entender por nuestras comodidades alrededor, pero Dios desea que continuamente estemos preparados para hacer cambios porque de otra manera no podremos crecer correctamente. El moral del devocional hoy día es que no podemos estar muy cómodos en nuestro diario vivir si queremos obtener cambios excelentes en nuestras vidas. Si deseas prosperar tienes que estar dispuesto a trabajar y aceptar los cambios que vengan, si no necesitaras cambio en su vida, ya estuvieras prosperando en todo…

So many of us have heard the voice of God in our lives. We have heard Him tell us what direction to walk in and what actions to take. In the moment it happens I think we all agree we are overtaken by Love and just mesmerized at the fact He would take time out of His day to speak to us, who are we? So why am I talking about this today? It’s simple, the verse today tells us the reason why He does this, it is “so that when it takes place we believe and have faith in Him and rely on Him”. He basically prepares us for the arrival of His promise, so when it arrives we are not caught off guard and we do not discard it. Though many of us have at times discarded it the great part about His love is that it continues to flow even when we try to stop the movement of His hand in our lives. So what do we do now? Believe….. Prepare…. Rely….

Muchos hemos escuchado la voz de Dios en nuestras vidas. Lo hemos escuchado darnos dirección y que pasos tomar. Al momento que se da, todos nos sentimos tomados completamente por Dios, por Su amor y nos asombramos al pensar que la toma de su tiempo para hablarnos. ¿Quienes somos nosotros para obtener tremenda dicha? ¿Por que hablo acerca de este tema hoy? Es simple, el verso de hoy nos habla la razón por la cual Dios nos habla “para cuando se de lo prometido, podamos creer mas en él y aumentar nuestra fe en Dios y creerle cada día mas”. El nos prepara para lo por venir y todas sus promesas para con nosotros, así cuando llega la promesa, no nos agarre desprevenidos y después la rechacemos. Aun que muchos hemos desechado lo que Dios nos ha prometido o entregado, lo hermoso de Dios es que El amor de Dios sigue fluyendo hacia nosotros aunque lo tratemos de impedir en nuestras vidas. ¿Así que, ahora que podemos hacer? Creerle a Dios... Prepararnos por lo por venir y confiar que Dios lo hará…

Ever felt like something you were doing was wrong? Want to know why? It’s simple, because it is! We have all been blessed with a conscience that helps us avoid getting into predicaments and making mistakes we should avoid. It's s similar to a fire alarm, yes there may be a fire brewing around us but we have a good amount of time to run out of the building or place where the fire broke out. Have we removed our conscience from our situations? Many of us have, we don’t want to hear we are wrong, we feel like we are strong enough to deal with the temptations and or problems so we shut down our conscience and try to justify our lust. I know many of us don’t want to hear this but the truth is when we become numb to our conscience we are flirting with a huge danger. How do we rectify our lives if we currently can relate to this? We have to confess our transgressions and face the truth as it is. This decision will allow us to gain strength and not stray any further. Remember all we can lose by ignoring our conscience is Salvation…..

!Dios le bendiga!

?Alguna vez te has sentido como si algo que estabas haciendo estaba mal? ¿Quieres saber por qué? !Es muy simple, porque lo es! Todos hemos sido bendecidos con una conciencia que nos ayuda a evadir el que cometamos varios errores. Es similar a una alarma de fuego, si quizás hay un fuego, pero tenemos el tiempo suficiente para huir del edificio en que esta el fuego. ?Sera que hemos removido a nuestra conciencia de nuestras vidas? Muchos lo hemos hecho, no queremos escuchar que estamos mal, nos sentimos lo suficientemente fuertes para evadir las tentaciones o problemas. Así es que apagamos el mover de nuestra conciencia y tratamos de justificarnos. Yo sé que muchos de nosotros no queremos escuchar esto, pero la realidad es que cuando nos hacemos los sordos a nuestra conciencia, nos abrimos a grandes peligros. ?Como podemos corregir nuestras vidas si es que estamos fallando en esto? Tenemos que confesar nuestra trasgresión y enfrentar la realidad de las circunstancias que nos rodean. Esta decisión nos permitirá aumentar en fuerza y no descarriarnos más lejos de lo que estamos. Recuerda lo único que podemos perder en ignorar nuestra conciencia es nuestra salvación...
