       Are you competitive? Do you find yourself cheating just to beat someone at something? Though we may not believe it the disciples suffered from the same thing. In fact they went as far as asking Jesus "who was the greatest". His response: a child! Why? Kids are normally not interested in who is better but rather how they can enjoy what they are involved in. God is not looking for us to be competitive with each other but rather complete each other! The moral today is don't compare yourself to others but rather help others!

            ¿Te consideras una persona competitiva? ¿Alguna vez has tenido que hacer trampas para poderle ganar a alguien? Aunque nos cueste trabajo creerlo, los discípulos de Jesús hicieron estas mismas cosas. Es más, ellos hasta la preguntaron a Jesús que cual entre ellos era el mejor. La respuesta de Jesús fue: ¡un niño! ¿Por qué digo el esto? Por lo general a los niños no les importa mucho cual es el mejor entre ellos sino más bien, se enfocan en disfrutar a lo máximo la actividad en la cual están participando. ¡Dios no quiere que tengamos competencias entre nosotros sino que nos complementemos los unos a otros! La moraleja de hoy es simplemente que dejemos de compararnos con los demás y más bien, nos ayudemos los unos a los otros.

                The season of excuses is over! I’m sure after the first sentence few people are still reading this email but I can’t hold back anymore, lately God has impressed on me how so many of us spend more time making excuses and blaming everyone else for our issues than it would take to fix them. Ok now swallow and breath J. The time for us to take on our challenges head on is here, not tomorrow, not next week but today. The things we have been putting off and so quickly delegating to others have to be addressed if we want to walk in the place God has designed for us. Many of us struggle due to our lack of desire of getting passed our issues. I would venture on saying some of us are ”attentionaholics”. What do I mean by this invented word? It’s simple, we want everyone to see us, feel bad for us, look up to us and admire us but we don’t want to do anything to merit any of the mentioned. Let this be a wakeup call for us: in life you get what you work for! Life is not a Multi-level marketing scheme, its life! We have to work to be prosperous in every area of our life (sorry if I’m bursting our dreamer bubble but this is scripture!). Jesus never sat around pulling money off of a tree, even when He asked the disciples to get the coin out of the mouth of the fish they had to walk to the water and catch the fish. So if we are in our boat waiting for the fish to jump in and salute us then it’s time to wake up because we are dreaming! Sorry to be so direct but the gloves are coming off!

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            ¡La temporada de usar excusas se acabó! Estoy seguro que después de leer la primera parte ya son pocos los que continuarán leyendo pero no puedo seguir callándome. Últimamente el Señor me ha estado recordando como muchos de nosotros gastamos más tiempo inventándonos excusas y buscando a quien culpar por nuestros problemas que solucionándolos. Okey, ahora si puedo respirar mas tranquilo, ya lo dijeJ. El tiempo de que tomemos cada uno de nuestros desafíos ya llegó, no es para mañana, no es para la próxima semana… ¡es para comenzar hoy! Todas esas cosas que hemos estado postergando o mandando a otras a hacer por nosotros, tienen que ser enfrentadas si es que queremos tomar el lugar para el cual Dios nos diseño. Muchos de nosotros tenemos dificultad con esto porque nos falta el deseo profundo de mejorar nuestra situación actual. Me atrevo a decir que muchos sufrimos del síndrome de “buscar atención” (queremos la atención siempre puesta en nosotros). ¿A qué me refiero con este síndrome que me he inventado? Es muy sencillo, queremos que todos nos vean, queremos que se sientan mal por nosotros, queremos que nos admiren y nos imiten pero no queremos hacer lo necesario para que verdaderamente suceda esto. Espero que esto sea un aviso de alarma; en esta vida recibimos las cosas por las cuales trabajamos. ¡La vida no es una estrategia de mercadeo en red…la vida es la vida! Tenemos que trabajar para poder ser prósperos en cada área de nuestra vida (discúlpenme si los tumbo de la nube pero todo esto lo puedo demonstrar en la Palabra). Jesús jamás se sentó a sacar billetes de un árbol, aún cuando el mando a los discípulos a sacar la moneda de la boca del pez, ellos tuvieron que levantarse e ir a pescar. Entonces, si en caso estamos sentados en nuestra barca esperando que el pez salga del agua y brinque a nuestra barca por si solo a saludarnos, ¡¡tenemos que despertar de ese sueño!! Disculpen que sea tan directo pero el tiempo de quitarme los guantes suaves ha llegado.

       Have you ever asked someone how something was and they began by saying : it was awesome, great, etc. but when you asked them specifics they couldn't answer? I saw this all the time growing up at church, people would say: the sermon was great, you can feel the Spirit but when you asked what it was about you would get a blank stare. Am I the only one? Either way the verse today shows the psalmist taken by His greatness but he states clearly: "I will proclaim", this is the difference between the psalmist and the people referenced above.  The people above only respond when asked but psalmist is proactive and verbal to all whether they ask or not. Which are we?

       ¿Alguna vez te ha pasado que le preguntas a alguien que les pareció algo y enseguida te responden que fue magnifico, pero cuando les pides detalles, no saben contarte ni uno solo? Esto fue algo que vi todo el tiempo cuando era niño en la iglesia, la gente decía: la predica estuvo estupenda, se podía sentir el Espíritu Santo pero cuando les preguntabas de que se había tratado la predica, inmediatamente se ponían pálidos y no sabían decir ni una sola palabra. ¿Seré el único que ha visto esto? El versículo de hoy nos muestra como el Salmista fue sorprendido por las maravillas de Dios y el respondió: “Proclamaré”…está es la diferencia entre el Salmista y las personas que mencione al principio. Las personas del principio solo responden cuando se les pregunta mientras que el Salmista es proactivo y expresa a todos aunque no le estén preguntando. ¿Cuál clase de persona seremos nosotros?

        These days it’s so key to watch our steps. We can’t just go anywhere and just do anything. Well I guess we can but we have to ask ourselves "what results will we see?". We can’t expect to be blessed when we walk in the realm of the cursed. Is this tough to hear? I can tell you it’s tough to write but it’s the truth! Many of us ask "Why do things go wrong for us?". The answer is simple, God is not delighted in our ways because we have come out from under His covering. So what do we do now? Get back to His Grace and He will begin to straighten out our areas of problems.

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            Hoy en día es muy importante que examinemos cada paso que damos. No podemos hacer las cosas sin pensar e ir a cualquier lugar que queramos. Bueno, la verdad es que sí podemos hacer e ir a donde queramos pero lo que realmente nos debemos preguntar antes de esto es, ¿qué resultado va a tener este paso que voy a tomar o estas palabras que voy a decir? No podemos esperar ser bendecidos cuando nos pasamos el tiempo caminando en un camino que ya ha sido maldecido. ¿Les parece difícil escuchar esto? Les puedo decir que fue muy difícil escribirlo también pero tengo que hablar con la verdad. Muchos de nosotros a veces nos preguntamos, ¿por qué es que todo me sale mal? La respuesta es simple, Dios no esta contento con nuestra forma de vivir y hemos salido de su cobertura. ¿Qué hacemos ahora que esto ha sucedido? Regresa a su Gracia y El comenzará a enderezar nuestro camino.

                Do you remember when you were a child and you played hide and go seek with your friends? Remember when you reached a hiding spot but there was still a bit of anxiety over being found because you just didn’t feel it was 100% sure that you would not be found there? That feeling is what I want to talk about today. As Christians we should not feel this way when we are walking correctly before the presence of God. Why? The promise the psalmist expresses in the verse below is also ours, because of this when we are under the wings of the Almighty there should be no fear or concern that overtakes us. He is the safest most secure hiding place known to humanity! Don’t believe me, try Him.

            ¿Te acuerdas cuando eras niño y jugabas a las escondidas con tus amigos? ¿Te acuerdas cuando encontrabas un buen escondite pero aun así sentías ansiedad porque no estabas 100% seguro que no te fueran a encontrar allí? En este día quiero hablar un poco de esa emoción de ansiedad. Como cristianos, no deberíamos sentirnos ansiosos cuando estamos caminando correctamente con Dios. ¿Por qué? La promesa que el Salmista expresa en el versículo de hoy, también es para nosotros hoy en día. El saber que nos podemos refugiar bajo las alas del Dios Altísimo, nos debe quitar todo temor o ansiedad. ¡En Dios, encontramos el lugar más seguro para refugiarnos en toda la humanidad! Si no me crees, dale una oportunidad a Dios para que lo compruebes.

                Have you every thought about how to thank God for all the awesome things He does and has done in your life?  Have you ever felt like you wanted to jump up to heaven and just give Him your all because He is always faithful? Well keep in mind He does it for us and He asks we do it for all of them as well. Just a thought for us today but one that could show Him our gratitude….

Ama y recibe a tus hermanos en Cristo tal y como son, con sus defectos o faltas. ¿Esto no es fácil verdad? Solo recuerda que El, lo hace por cada uno de nosotros siempre y El nos pide que hagamos lo mismo por los demás. Esto es una manera de demostrarle nuestra gratitud…

      Have you ever tried to read a book or write something and the place you were in was so loud you finally had to throw your hands up and give up your task at hand? Have you ever been in a room with someone that purposely made noise to get your attention even though you were trying to focus on something? Isn’t this annoying? You don’t think so, ask my wife J. Why am I talking about this? The enemies task is to distract us from the Truth, he makes noise, breaks things and tries to make us look at what he is doing just like a spoiled brat! Though he may try to use these tactics at the moment take your place and focus on the call in your life. God has not called you to focus on the devil but on Him. If we keep our eyes on Him we will retain our victory. We’ve tried other ways, why not try this way?

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            ¿Alguna vez te ha pasado que estas tratando de leer un libro o de escribir una carta pero en el lugar donde lo estas haciendo, hay demasiado ruido y al final tienes que dejar de leer o escribir porque no te puedes concentrar? ¿Alguna vez te ha pasado que estas con alguien en un lugar y esa persona hace ruido para llamar tu atención y te desconcentra de lo que estas haciendo por más que trates de mantenerte enfocado? ¿No te parece que estas circunstancias son bastante fastidiosas? Si no me crees que sí lo son, pregúntale a mi esposa J. ¿Por qué les hablo de esto hoy? La tarea del enemigo es distraernos de La Verdad, el puede causar mucho ruido, el puede romper y destruir cosas sola para desenfocarnos y nosotros, como niños rebeldes, caemos en su trampa. Aunque el enemigo trate todas sus tácticas para distraernos, el no puede robarnos del llamado que Dios ha puesto en nuestra vida. Dios no nos ha llamado a que nos enfoquemos en el diablo sino todo lo contrario, El quiere que nos enfoquemos en El. Si mantenemos nuestra mirada puesta en El, podremos obtener la victoria. Si ya hemos tratado tantas cosas diferentes, ¿por qué no tratarlo a la manera de Dios?

                Many of us go through moments that we realize we simply don’t fit in the “World” any more. We have become a square peg in a round hole. At first we take it personally and at times we feel down about it but, what we all have to realize is that the more we come distant from the world the more we become closer to what really matters: God! I’m not saying it’s easy but I am saying there is a greater upside on being part of His world than being part of the “world”. The moral today is simple: don’t feel left out because they don’t want to hang around you anymore but rather feel privileged to know that your social circle is made up of God, His saints and the angels!

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            Todos pasamos por momentos difíciles donde quisiéramos desaparecer de este mundo; comenzamos a sentirnos fuera de lugar y simplemente no encontramos razón alguna que nos haga sentir mejor. Cuando esto sucede, usualmente nos deprimimos y tomamos todo muy a pecho pero lo que tenemos que reconocer, es que cuando nos sentimos así, cuando tenemos estas situaciones difíciles, aunque estas nos alejen del mundo, sí nos ayudan a acercarnos más a Dios. No estoy diciendo que el hecho que estas situaciones nos acerquen a Dios lo haga todo fácil, pero sí nos ayudan a ver la mejor cara de la moneda que en realidad es que pertenecemos al reino de Dios y no a este mundo. La moraleja de hoy es simple: no te sientas mal cuando algunas personas decidan ya no ser tus amigos, más bien siéntete privilegiado de saber que Dios es tu amigo junto con los ángeles y tus hermanos en la fe.

    Doesn’t it feel awesome to rearrange a room or clean it up? I know at first it seems to be a daunting task to take on a cleaning or organizational project but the end result is a breath of fresh air. The interesting part is the fact that before you see the organizational result you actually have to make a bigger mess! You have to take everything out of the location you are used to having it and you notice the big mess  that’s hidden (Selah). I’m touching on this point today because God is currently reorganizing many of our lives and though it may seem like a big mess He has not loss control of the situation and He is not going to start now. I leave you with a word of encouragement today: Stay strong and enjoy every step of the process, this way you will enjoy it more when you look back on it in victory!

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            ¿No les da gusto cuando tienen la oportunidad de redecorar o reorganizar una habitación? Puede ser que al principio aparente ser una tarea difícil el tener que limpiar y reorganizar toda una habitación pero cuando terminas y todo se ve limpio y nuevo, se puede respirar un aire fresco de alivio y logro. Lo interesante es que antes de ver el resultado final, en medio del proceso, todo aparenta estar desorganizado y arrumado, todo se ve peor de lo que estaba. Tienes que mover todo para ver que hay debajo y poder organizar y limpiar correctamente, es allí cuando te das cuenta en verdad el desastre que tenias en esa habitación (Selah). Decidí hablar de este tema hoy porque se que Dios esta reorganizando muchas de nuestras vidas en estos momentos, puede ser que todo aparente estar patas arriba pero recuerda que Dios jamás ha perdido el control y mucho menos lo va a perder ahora. Los quiero dejar con una palabra de ánimo en este día: ¡Mantenganse fuertes y disfruten cada fase de este proceso, de esta manera será más grande el gozo cuando puedan ver la victoria del producto final!

        Isn’t it interesting how some of us try to hurt God by holding things back from Him? I know most assume imp talking about money but we do it with things like time, energy and others as well. Do we really believe He needs anything from us? Do we think holding our hearts back will make Him lack something? If this is the case then I hope this serves as a wakeup call: He doesn't need us, we desperately need Him! It’s time for us to wake up from the thought we can hold Him at bay...

                        ¿No les parece interesante como muchos de nosotros a veces tratamos de herir a Dios, reteniendo ciertas cosas para nosotros mismos? Lo más seguro es que la mayoría este pensando que estoy hablando de dinero pero la realidad es que me refiero al tiempo, energía y muchas otras cosas. ¿Será que en verdad pensamos que Dios necesita algo de nosotros? ¿Será que pensamos que si no le entregamos nuestro corazón, Dios va a estar necesitado? En caso de que alguno de nosotros piense de esta manera ha llegado el tiempo de despertar de esta errónea manera de pensar. ¡Dios no nos necesita, nosotros somos los que lo necesitamos a El desesperadamente! Ha llegado el tiempo de que dejemos de mantener nuestra distancia y más bien nos acerquemos a El.

     I love to hear the new age preaching’s that motivate and never speak of sacrifice. I love it but I didn't say I believe it! There is nothing in life that comes free. We all have to work at our blessings and even our salvation. I’m sure there is some eye brows raising as I say this but if we take the example of Jesus we realize there was a great deal of work He did to make the Sacrifice. Many people say Grace is free and they are right but there is a sacrifice that needs to take place in us to separate our flesh from the equation or we will never be able to attain salvation. The question today is: have we made a covenant with Him by sacrifice or simply a conditional contract?

            A mi me gusta escuchar las predicas de la “nueva era” porque siempre motivan y animan pero jamás hablan del sacrificio. Por favor noten que dije que “me gusta” pero no dije que creía lo que estas dicen. No hay nada en esta vida que sea totalmente gratis. Todos tenemos que trabajar para obtener nuestras bendiciones y con esto en mente, ni siquiera la salvación es gratis. Estoy seguro que algunos de los que están leyendo este mensaje ya estarán haciendo caras, pero la verdad es que si vemos el ejemplo de Jesús, nos damos cuenta que el tuvo que trabajar arduamente para hacer su Sacrificio. Muchas personas dicen que la “Gracia” es gratis y esto es cierto pero, sí hay un sacrificio de por medio en el cual tenemos que separar lo carnal de lo espiritual para poder recibir nuestra salvación. La pregunta de hoy es: ¿hicimos nuestro pacto con Dios por medio de un sacrificio o será que es simplemente un contrato condicional?

                Its Friday and some of us have had a TOUGH week! The great thing is that it’s all over! We get a chance this weekend not only to reboot our mental computers but literally turn the page on another week of life, why is this good? If we can treat life like we do a book we will never read the same bad chapter twice. We don’t look back and we don’t ask any questions, sure there may be some effects from what we read but they are from last week’s chapter and our new week is destined to be great! Want to know how I know? It’s His promise to us all!

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            Es viernes y muchos de nosotros hemos tenido una semana difícil. ¡Lo bueno de este día es que la semana laboral ya termina! Al comenzar el fin de semana, no solo tendremos la oportunidad de reiniciar nuestra computadora mental, sino que también tendremos la oportunidad de comenzar una nueva semana desde cero, ¿por qué es esto algo bueno? Si suponemos por un momento que nuestra vida fuera como un libro, ¡jamás leeríamos los capítulos malos más de una vez! Cuando acabamos de leer esos capítulos malos, no los hojeamos de nuevo ni hacemos preguntas, aunque puede ser que estos hayan tenido un efecto en nuestras vidas, lo importante que debemos recordar, es que estos son parte del “pasado”. Los días malos son como esos capítulos malos que leímos y ahora, vamos a comenzar un nuevo “capitulo”; esta nueva semana esta destinada a ser una buena semana (un buen capítulo). ¿Quieres saber como se que esto es cierto? ¡Porque Dios no los prometió a todos!

     His strength is our all! He gives us the ability to do things we can’t ever imagine possible. Every day God is enlarging my faith, He is going so far outside the normal realm as a human it gets scary. Not scary bad but scary awesome because what is to come is so much larger than anything I can ask for. Why am I sharing this today? I guess because it is not only for me but for you as well. Today I encourage you to grab on to Him and realize your destiny. He will carry you and allow you to attain the victory you have been desiring. Believe it!

                The verse today is so key to where we stand today as a society. We each have to decide whether we will choose to be like everyone else or choose to be different. As Christians we know what is right and what is wrong but, sometimes we minimize the value of standing up for our beliefs. What are we if not what we believe in? When we stand for a belief we are basically continuing a doctrine so others can see and accept it, if we don’t then what are we really standing for? Can we stand for something being quiet? Can we truly say we believe in something if we see others step on it and we don’t say anything? Daniel was a great example of someone that realized that you are either for something or against it. The question at hand today is simple: are we for God or against Him?

                One of my biggest issues in life is that I am in a constant rush to finish everything. Though I know it’s not the healthiest thing, I also haven’t fully been able to figure out the solution. Why? I think it’s a combination of my stubbornness and accumulation of responsibilities. Ultimately there are no excuses but, it’s the truth. So why am I talking about this today? I guess it’s because I know I’m not the only one who deals with this so, I wanted to let you all know that you are not alone. What God has surely shown me, is that it’s time to slow down! It’s all about saving our health and ultimately even our salvation. Running around with a million things to do causes us to lose the value and love we are supposed to invest into things. Do you agree?

            Uno de mis mayores problemas es que cuando estoy haciendo algo, tiendo a hacerlo apresuradamente en vez de tomarme el tiempo necesario. Estoy consiente que esto no es bueno y puede afectar muchas cosas, pero aún no he podido encontrar la solución. ¿Por qué? Creo que esto se debe a dos cosas, primero mi terquedad y segundo la cantidad de responsabilidades que tengo; pero al final, tengo que ser honesto conmigo mismo y aceptar que estas son solo excusas. Entonces, ¿Por qué les hablo de este tema hoy? Yo se, que no soy el único que tiene este problema y quiero que sepan que no están solos. Algo que Dios me ha estado recordando constantemente es que tengo que detenerme un poco e ir más lento. El hacer esto no solo ayudará nuestra salud, pero al final puede ser que también nos ayude con nuestra salvación.                 Have you ever been so impacted by something that it has left you speechless? Have you ever been so in awe of something that you couldn't speak about nothing but that thing over and over? This is precisely what the verse today is all about, the things God has done for us are truly awesome. When we really sit  and think about all He has done there is little room for anything else to stand out. The perfect way to determine if God has really impacted our lives is to ask ourselves "what’s coming out of our mouths?". When living water flows from our mouths there is a clear confirmation He has visited us. When we can’t seem to praise or share His living water then we have to check our true knowledge of Him. We all have to remember it’s not about showing a religious "good game" but actually walking the true Loving way He laid out for us. So He asks today: "What’s in your mouth?"

            ¿Alguna vez te haz sentido tan impactado por algo que prácticamente te dejó mudo? ¿Alguna vez ha habido algo que te impacto de tal manera, que no puedes hablar de nada más aparte de lo que sucedió? De esto precisamente se trata el versículo de hoy; las cosas que Dios ha hecho por nosotros son simplemente maravillosas. Cuando meditamos realmente en todo lo que El ha hecho, de verdad que no queda espacio para nada más porque sus obras, resaltan sobretodo lo demás. Una manera de determinar si lo que Dios ha hecho verdaderamente ha impactado nuestra vida, es preguntándonos, ¿qué es lo que sale de nuestros labios? Cuando las palabras que brotan de nuestros labios son palabras de “agua viva”, podemos confirmar, que el Señor sí nos ha visitado. Cuando nos cuesta mucho trabajo adorarlo o hablar de sus maravillosas obras, entonces tenemos que examinarnos para ver cuanto en realidad sabemos de El. Recordemos que no se trata de jugar el juego de la religión, sino más bien se trata de ir por el camino de Amor que el Señor nos enseño. En este día, el Señor te pregunta: ¿qué es lo que sale de tus labios?

      Have you ever heard the above titled expression? The truth is that this expression is right on point. We have unfortunately evolved into a society that tries to avoid the truth as much as possible. Why? I can answer that: the truth demands change and effort and unfortunately the microwave generation we find ourselves in is more about ease and comfort. Why am I talking about this? In Christianity we cannot carry that mentality or we will simply never grow. We have to face the truth and change or better yet allow God to change the things that are wrong in us. Do you know most of us like to “hide” in church? What do I mean? Most of us today go to church because it’s the “right thing” to do but we don’t want to be attached to the church. We go in and we hide out for a period where we feel we are being built up (things seem to be going good) but at the moment of difficulty we flee because the truth confronts us and our time in church wasn’t spent growing and facing the Truth but rather coasting and hiding out. Why am I talking about this today? I simply need to get the message across that running from church will not get us out of the face of God (the Truth), He is everywhere and knows everything! For us that are still in church this should serve as notice that we need to step it up and put energy into what we do in His house and for those reading that have run, please know I am not judging you (notice I said We) but rather letting you know that God is always willing to take you back and there is no requirements for you to come back. He loves you and will help you because He is not conditional. Always remember we don’t go to church for any man or woman, we go for God! The day we go to church for a Pastor or leader we are no longer going to church for God but we are part of a social club….

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            ¿Alguna vez haz escuchado la expresión, “La verdad duele”? Esta expresión es totalmente cierta. Desafortunadamente hemos evolucionado a ser una sociedad la cual evita escuchar la verdad a cualquier costo. ¿Por qué hacemos esto? Es simple: cuando nos vemos enfrentados con la verdad nos damos cuenta que necesitamos un cambio, tenemos que hacer un esfuerzo para cambiar pero desafortunadamente somos la “generación microondas” y queremos todo lo rápido y lo que no nos cuesta ningún esfuerzo. ¿Por qué les hablo de esto hoy? Como cristianos no podemos tener esta mentalidad, esta nos impedirá crecer. Tenemos que enfrentar la verdad y comenzar un cambio y la mejor parte es que si se lo permitimos, Dios es el que hará el cambio en nosotros. ¿Sabían que a la mayoría de nosotros nos gusta “escondernos” en la iglesia? Muchos estarán pensando, ¿a que se refiere? Bueno, permítanme explicarles, muchos de nosotros asistimos a la iglesia simplemente porque es lo "correcto" pero no queremos unirnos a su labor, no queremos formar una relación. Vamos a la iglesia y calladitos comenzamos a recibir (escuchar la palabra), todo aparenta ir bien pero luego, llega el momento de dificultad y es aquí, donde decidimos salir huyendo porque nos vemos enfrentados a nuestra realidad (esa verdad que nos duele). Preferimos huir porque la realidad es, que nuestro tiempo en la casa de Dios no fue realmente usado para nuestro crecimiento espiritual para así poder enfrentar la “verdad”, sino más bien fue un pasatiempo donde teníamos un lugar para escondernos y socializar nada más. ¿Por qué les hablo de esto hoy? Necesito que entiendan que el huir de la iglesia, no hará que Dios (La Verdad) desaparezca de nuestra vida… ¡Dios esta en todo lugar y lo sabe todo! Para los que aún estamos en la iglesia, que esto nos sirva como un recordatorio que tenemos que ponernos las pilas, tenemos que usar toda nuestra energía para trabajar en la casa de Dios, y para aquellos que por una razón u otra se han ido, por favor entiendan que no los estamos juzgando, simplemente queremos recordarles que Dios te espera con brazos abiertos y no es necesario cumplir ningún requisito para regresar. Dios te ayudará, no importa la situación; El te ama y su amor es incondicional. Siempre ten presente y claro que no debemos ir a ninguna iglesia por ningún hombre o mujer, vamos solamente por Dios y a buscar de su Presencia. En el momento que vamos a una iglesia por el pastor o por el liderazgo que tienen, cometemos el error de no ir por Dios y esto simplemente se convierte en un club social…

        Lately I have seen myself in the city more often and like many reading this know, the city is full of people on the streets looking for some kind of help. Many of us of course are affected by the thought that many of these people are not really in need but may simply want to get over on a kind heart (It's crossed our mind from time to time). With that said I have for some time now decided not to give them money but rather feed them. At first it felt a bit weird but the fact that there appeared to be a need motivated me to do something different. Now why am I talking about this today? Many of us live our life cold we have simply stopped caring. We have been hurt, lied to and misguided therefore we have grown callus to our call and purpose. One person did us damage and now the world is paying the price (does anyone agree?), I ask though what if Jesus passed by us and we ignored Him because we have been hurt in the past? You may say "we would never do that!" but the truth is we do. The verse today is specifically about helping His little ones and how by doing this we are doing it for Him. When did we see Him? EVERYDAY!! Let’s get back to our foundations and help someone less fortunate than us.

            Últimamente he tenido que visitar Manhattan mucho más frecuente de lo usual y para los que conocen la ciudad, casi en cada esquina podemos encontrar a alguien que esta pidiendo alguna clase de ayuda. Estoy seguro que cuando vemos a estas personas pidiendo ayuda, muchos de nosotros automáticamente pensamos que muchos de ellos en realidad no deberían estar pidiendo sino más bien, pensamos que se aprovechan de los corazones bondadosos que caminan las calles. Con esto en mente yo tomé la decisión hace un tiempo atrás de no darles dinero sino más bien ofrecerles algo de comer. Al comienzo me sentí un poco raro pero a medida que lo voy haciendo, me he dado cuenta que sí hay una necesidad y por eso decidí hacer algo diferente. ¿Por qué les hablo de este tema hoy? Tristemente muchos de nosotros hoy en día nos hemos hecho ciegos a las necesidades que hay a nuestro alrededor, nos hemos vuelto fríos a la necesidad ajena. Muchas veces nos han hecho daño, nos han mentido y también nos han engañado y esto nos ha hecho alejar de nuestro verdadero llamado y propósito en esta vida. Una persona nos causo daño y ahora todo el mundo tiene que pagar (¿me hago entender?). Entonces les pregunto, ¿si Jesús pasara por nuestro lado, seriamos capaces de ignorarlo por el hecho de que otros nos han hecho daño en el pasado? Lo más seguro es que la mayoría de nosotros digamos, “yo jamás haría eso” pero la realidad es que sí lo hacemos. El versículo de hoy nos recuerda que cuando ayudamos al prójimo, es igual que si lo hiciéramos directamente para Jesús. ¿Cuándo vemos a Jesús? ¡¡TODOS LOS DIAS!! Regresemos a lo básico y ayudemos a alguien menos afortunado que nosotros.

         There is a song that states "we can only imagine" with regards to being before the presence of God, but the truth is we don't have to imagine, we can actually enjoy it all the time in the place where His glory dwells. Where is that you ask? In your heart, in your mind but also in the church! I know many don't want to hear it but it’s the truth and it’s our responsibility to recognize it. We can’t bring joy to God by running to Him and ignoring His children. What kind of parent do we think He is? Would you embrace someone that avoided your children? I don't think so....

            Hay una canción que se llama “Puedo Imaginarme” y en esta canción, el interprete canta de lo que el se imagina será, el encontrarnos con la presencia de Dios. Aunque la canción es muy linda, la verdad es, que no tenemos que imaginarnos estar en su presencia sino que la podemos experimentar en ese lugar donde habita su Gloria. Puede ser que te estés preguntando y ¿en donde es ese lugar? Ese lugar es tu corazón, tu mente y también la iglesia. Se que tal vez a muchos no les guste esta verdad pero tengo que hablar con la verdad, es mi responsabilidad decírtelo y la tuya reconocerlo. No podemos agradar a Dios por completo si lo buscamos a El pero, no queremos compartir con los suyos. ¿Qué clase de Padre crees que El es? ¿Seria de tu agrado alguien que rechace a tus hijos? Por supuesto que no…

        I’m not sure how many remember that saying "Knowing is half the battle", I would say this phrase is right on point. Knowledge provides us with certainty and confidence in what we are believing for or in. Faith is a very difficult thing to embrace. Without knowledge of the Word of God and His heart, it becomes a humanly impossible task to really have faith. Many people believe faith is blind and the truth is their wrong. There is an image of faith we acquire when we gain knowledge of God. How do we do this? Read the word, pray to Him and keep memory of His awesome track record. All we accomplish and all we gain by following these recommendations is faith, strength and salvation!

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            No se cuantos de ustedes conozcan o recuerden la frase que dice: “Cuando conoces bien a tú enemigo, ya tienes mitad de la batalla ganada”, esta frase es muy cierta. El conocimiento nos da una seguridad más profunda en las cosas que creemos. La fe es algo muy difícil de comprender y un tanto compleja. Si no tenemos un conocimiento firme de la Palabra de Dios y su corazón para con nosotros, es prácticamente imposible tener fe en El. Muchas personas dicen que la fe es ciega y esto en realidad no es cierto. Cuando adquirimos un verdadero conocimiento de Dios, podemos visualizar nuestra fe. ¿Cómo logramos hacer esto? Leyendo la Palabra, orando y recordando constantemente las obras maravillosas que Dios ya ha hecho. Si seguimos estos pasos, ¡lográremos que nuestra fe crezca, seremos más fuertes y seremos salvos!
