Out of all the promises and gifts seen in scripture one of my personal favorites has to be bringing the dead back to life. There is no greater mountain to surpass than to take something all science, medicine and man has given up on and breathing life back into it. Why am I talking about this today? Because it’s important we all realize that once we receive Jesus as our Lord and savior we are given this awesome privilege. I know many will try to manipulate what I’m saying here, as we humans tend to do, but hear me out. This is not an invitation for us to go to a morgue or to a cemetery to start praying for dead bodies but rather this is a motivation to hear God when He speaks and directs us to do the impossible. Sure we can walk the morgues and pray and if the Will of God aligns we will see the dead rise up but the dead I’m really interested in speaking about are those we see every day at work, in the streets, in the supermarkets, etc. Those who due to circumstances are physically alive, but in their mind, soul and heart are dead because of past and present hurts. Many of us when we come to Christ become so disconnected from who we were that we manage to forget that we were also the walking dead once. Our job as Christians is to push forward but impact our past simultaneously. We can’t become religious and think we are holier than all, we have to pray for the walking dead as we were put here to increase the population in heaven not make it a yuppie social club. Ill finish today with asking: Can you bring them back to life?

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!
De todas las promesas e historias que hay en la Biblia tengo que admitir que mis favoritas son las que hablan de regresar de la muerte a la vida. No hay cosa más maravillosa e impactante que superar todo lo que dice la ciencia, la medicina y el hombre y poder dar el soplo de vida a algo o a alguien que ya estaba muerto. ¿Por qué les hablo de esto en este día? Les hablo de esto porque es importante que reconozcamos que en el momento en que recibimos a Jesús como nuestro Señor y Salvador, también recibimos el privilegio de soplar vida en otros. Estoy seguro que muchos trataran de manipular lo que estoy diciendo pero por favor déjenme explicarles. No les estoy diciendo que se vayan a la morgue o a un cementerio y comiencen a orar por los muertos, lo que quiero es motivarlos para que escuchen la voz de Dios cuando nos manda a orar por lo imposible. Por supuesto que si fuese la voluntad de Dios que camináramos en las morgues y oráramos por los muertos ellos resucitarían, pero los muertos de los que hablo hoy en día son aquellos que tenemos en el trabajo, en la calle, en el supermercado, etc. Personas que aunque estan vivos fisicamente, en su alma, mente y corazon estan muertos a causa del dolor del pasado y aun del presente. Muchos de nosotros al llegar a los caminos del Señor se nos olvida que un día también estuvimos, “muertos en vida”. Nuestro trabajo como cristianos no es solamente salir adelante y superar nuestros problemas, sino también traer a los pies de Cristo a todos aquellos que de una manera u otra se relaciona con nuestra vida pasada. No podemos volvernos religiosos y pensar que ahora nosotros somos más santos que los demás; tenemos que orar por todos aquellos que están “muertos en vida” y de esta manera incrementar la populación en el cielo. Esta es nuestra tarea en esta tierra y no simplemente pertenecer a un club social. En este día termino con esta pregunta: ¿puedes regresarlos de la muerte a la vida?
