       I remember growing up in ministry I was very focused on detail. I made sure not only I but others were abiding by "the rules". In fact, truth be told I would become angry when I saw myself or others being lax with our requirements. In a nut shell I was very focused on the law. Why do I mention this? Over the years I've come to realize the enormous imperfection we have as humans. We constantly make mistakes and we constantly make wrong decisions. The reason I share this today is because in the past (and still at times) I caught myself doing things to satisfy the law with no consideration of the Grace factor. In the verse below we will notice the promise isn't brought upon by law but rather by faith. Faith is Grace. Can you imagine the faith God has in us to give us so many opportunities? This faith is completely necessary in our path towards the promise. Today is the perfect day to begin to focus on grace rather than law.

¡Que Dios Te Bendiga!

            Recuerdo que cuando estaba más joven, me enfocaba mucho en los detalles de cada situación. Me gustaba asegurarme que todo el mundo estuviera cumpliendo las reglas. La verdad es que si me daba cuenta que alguien no cumplía las reglas o aun si yo mismo fallaba en algo, inmediatamente me enfurecía. En pocas palabras, yo estaba totalmente enfocado en la ley nada más (los reglamentos). ¿Por qué les mención esto hoy? A medida que los años van pasando me he dado cuenta que todos los humanos somos inmensamente imperfectos. Como humanos cometemos muchos errores y también tomamos malas decisiones. La razón por la cual comparto esto con ustedes en este día es porque muchas veces en el pasado (y de vez en cuando aun me pasa), yo me preocupaba más por cumplir la ley solo por el hecho de cumplirla y no le daba ninguna consideración o importancia a la Gracia de Dios. En el versículo de hoy vemos que la promesa dada no se iba a cumplir por la ley sino solo por fe. La fe es Gracia. ¿Se alcanzan a imaginar lo inmensa que en realidad es la Gracia de Dios al darnos tantas oportunidades? Hoy es un buen día para comenzar a enfocarnos en la Gracia de Dios más que en la ley solamente.
