One of the hardest lessons I am still learning in life is how to receive from
others. Many people don't have a problem with the idea of not only receiving
from others but they are actually ok with taking from others as well. I wasn't
brought up this way so at the sign of someone wanting to give me something I
stop and think "What is there angle?". It's so difficult to be this way because
in Christianity it has to be a two way street of give and take between
brethren. We were formed with the intent of each of us having the ability to
complete a certain area in the other. In other words we are each a piece of a
puzzle that when put together form a picture of the bride of the Messiah.
People such as myself have quietly over time deformed our shape due to past experiences
with others (can I be real?), it doesn't make it right because I do it, I point
it out so that we can all be honest enough to deal with our own issues. WE ALL
HAVE ISSUES!! Yes you and Me. The bigger issues are masked in the thought that
we are right and everyone else is wrong. Ever felt that way? This feeling of
"self-righteousness" should be a clear warning sign of an issue and should lead
us to review our lives. The moral of the story today is simply that we
have to open our hearts and believe that someone else's point of view can have
a bit of truth to it.

Una de las lecciones más importantes
de la vida de la cual sigo aprendiendo aun es el saber recibir de los demás.
Muchas personas no tienen ningún problema en dar y recibir de igual manera de
los demás. Yo no crecí con esta mentalidad, así que cada vez que alguien me
quiere dar algo me encuentro preguntándome a mi mismo, ¿qué es lo que
verdaderamente quieren de mi? En realidad es difícil vivir de esta manera
porque como cristiano debemos acostumbrarnos a dar y recibir los unos de
los otros. Todos fuimos diseñados por Dios para complementarnos los unos con
los otros en lo que cada uno carece. En otras palabras, cada uno de nosotros
somos un pedazo del rompecabezas que al poner todas las piezas juntas forma la
iglesia (la esposa del Cordero). Personas como yo desafortunadamente hemos
deformado la imagen de lo que verdaderamente debemos esperar los unos de los
otros debido a experiencias que hemos vivido (permítanme ser honesto). Esto no
esta bien aunque muchos pasemos por esto. ¡TODOS tenemos nuestros problemas!
Casi siempre los problemas que vemos como los más grandes son aquellos donde
según nuestro criterio somos nosotros los que tenemos la razón y todos los
demás están equivocados. ¿Alguna vez te has sentido así? Esto usualmente sucede
porque nos sentimos superiores a los demás y esto en realidad debería ser un
signo de alarma para examinar y analizar nuestra vida. La moraleja de hoy es
simplemente que debemos estar dispuestos a abrir nuestro corazón y reconocer
que muchas veces los demás tal vez tengan la razón.
